Someone asked Sweetie Fox to throw fruit into the air and slice it with a lightsaber.
Naked. Like a real-life version of Fruit Ninja, but without clothes and with substantially worse physics.
She found it funny. She did not do it.
The 25-year-old adult creator, who has more than three million Instagram followers, says bizarre custom requests arrive by the dozen every week.
Most are harmless. Some are creative. A few cross a line she will not move.
From sexy aliens to medieval knights
Fox, who is from Russia but lives in America, says the requests started simply and escalated as her audience grew.
“At first it was basic characters, but as more people started watching, the ideas became more specific and unexpected,” she told CreatorZine.
The range is vast. “I’ve been asked to dress as everything from a sexy alien to a medieval knight,” she said. Fantasy and gothic themes perform best.
“Lately gothic looks have been doing really well. People love that darker vibe.”
One unfulfilled request keeps coming back.
“I’ve had fans ask me to be Fiona from Shrek, but I never ended up doing it. I’d love to cosplay the human version. I think it would make a really fun video with a funny intro.”
The one that was not funny
Not everything lands as comedy. Fox described one request that unsettled her.
“A fan wanted me to move around on my knees in a way that made it look like I didn’t have functioning legs. That one wasn’t funny at all. It felt pretty disturbing.”
She says she has firm boundaries and will not be moved by money.
“Just because someone offers good money doesn’t mean I’ll do it. If I’m not comfortable, I simply say no.”
The strange ones sometimes work best
Fox admits that some of the most unusual requests have produced her strongest content.
“Sometimes the strangest concepts end up being the most fun to shoot. They push me to be more creative.”
She receives far more requests than she could ever fulfil and treats the selection process as a creative filter, choosing ideas that align with what she enjoys and what her audience responds to.
The lightsaber did not make the cut. The gothic looks did.
Why it matters
Custom request content is a significant revenue driver for adult creators, but the stories behind the requests serve a second purpose: they are content in themselves.
Fox describing a naked Fruit Ninja scenario to a journalist generates coverage that reaches an audience far beyond her subscriber base.
