Luke Thurling moves pallets for a living.
Last week he moved a Vauxhall Zafira.
The 38-year-old owner of Stockport Pallet Warehouse turned up for work to find a car parked across the front of his unit, blocking the shutter and, with it, his entire business.
He didn’t wait for the driver.
He climbed into his forklift, slid the forks under the 2007 Zafira Energy and lifted it out of the way.
“Someone parked right in front of our shutter, so we couldn’t open the warehouse,” Luke told Creatorzine.

“Luckily, we had a forklift handy. Usually we shift pallets, but today we’ve branched out into valet parking.”
The Hallam Mill parking problem that won’t go away
This wasn’t a one-off. Luke says drivers block his shutter “constantly”, and he blames the gyms that share his site.
“There’s multiple gyms in Hallam Mill, the car park is constantly blocked,” he said.
The Zafira’s owner appears none the wiser.

“The owner seemed to drive off unaware of what happened,” Luke added.
He also had a message for anyone tempted to try their luck next: “Please keep our shutter clear – we’ve got enough customer returns without adding a Ford Fiesta to the pile.”
The car was not a Ford Fiesta. Nobody seems to mind.
Forklift clip racks up 124,000 views
Luke shared the footage on 15 October after one blocked shutter too many.
It has since passed 124,000 views.
Viewers loved it. Ian wrote: “They won’t park there again, well done.”

Marrica said: “Oh my god, I love this.”
Others sounded quietly envious. “Could do with one of them,” said one.
Another added: “Need one for the school run.”

Then there was Joshua, who suggested Luke isn’t the only one at Hallam Mill quietly seething: “Felt like doing this hundreds of times at Hallam Mill.”
Why It Matters
Small businesses keep discovering that a grievance, filmed well, travels further than any strongly worded sign.
Luke didn’t set out to build an audience. One clip still did more for a Stockport pallet warehouse’s profile than most ad budgets would.
For creators, the lesson keeps proving itself. The best content often starts with something that annoyed you at work.
Petty workplace justice has become one of short-form video’s most reliable genres, with viewers rewarding anyone who settles a dispute using whatever equipment happens to be lying around.
Whether the Hallam Mill gym crowd has got the message is another matter.
Luke still has the forklift.
