Cami Chan could buy a Lamborghini. She bought a ragdoll kitten instead.
The 28-year-old model says she earns around £50,000 a month, and more than £2,000 of that goes on her four cats.
Food, litter, grooming, vet visits, toys, beds and outfits. Actual outfits.
“It probably sounds like an absurd amount to spend on cats, but they’re my babies and I want them to have the best,” she said.

“They definitely live better than most people. They deserve it.”
Four cats, one very big house
Artemis, a purebred ragdoll, was one of the first things Cami bought once her income took off.
Mercury is a purebred Siamese. Kerrigan and Jupiter are mixed breeds.
Four different personalities, identical standards.
“It’s literally just me in a big house so they have all the space they need,” said Cami, from Chicago, Illinois.
“They have stuff in every single room that they can lay on and play with. They probably get fed too much.”
Cami, who has around 500,000 Instagram followers, reckons the cats own more possessions than she does. She may be right.
The bill that never stops
Wet food arrives every other day, and only because she rations it.
She doesn’t shop on price.
“There are four of them eating, so even just food and litter becomes expensive when you add up what you’re spending across an entire month,” she said.
“Then I’m always seeing a new toy or bed and thinking they’d like it, even though they already have things all over the house.”
Then grooming. Then check-ups. Then whatever four animals decide to do to themselves in a given week.
The one expense she won’t touch
“Vet bills are something I’ll never cut corners on,” Cami said.
“If one of them needs a check-up or there’s something wrong, I want them seen and looked after properly. But I don’t resent spending it.
They’re my responsibility and I’m lucky enough to be able to afford to take care of them properly.”
None of this has made them pleasant housemates.
“They are high maintenance. They are so messy,” she said.
“There’s always somebody throwing up. There’s always somebody screaming for food. It’s way better than kids, obviously, but they are a handful.”
They travel, or she doesn’t
Cami calls herself an introvert and rarely goes anywhere.
When she does, and when the trip allows it, she pays extra to bring all four.
“I’d much rather have them with me than be worrying about them the entire time I’m away,” she said.
She won’t drop their standards on arrival either.
“I know some people would rather spend that extra money upgrading their flight or hotel, but I’d rather spend it making sure my cats can be with me and are properly looked after.”
At home, nobody goes outside. Cami believes the purebreds in particular would be a target for thieves.
From vet school dropout to £80,000 months
Before OnlyFans, Cami trained as a veterinary technician.
She dropped out of college. Then she watched other creators making money on the platform and tried it herself.
She says she earned enough in her first month to move out, and hasn’t stopped since.
Her best month brought in £80,000.
She has bought her own home. She saves and invests what she can, because she knows the figures may not hold.
“I know spending more than £2,000 every month on four cats sounds ridiculous to some people,” she said.
“But they’re part of my family. I work hard; I can afford to spoil them and seeing them happy is something I genuinely get enjoyment from.
Some people dream about having a Lamborghini. I’d still choose my cats.”
Why It Matters
Creator money arrives fast and leaves faster, and what follows it usually goes on things other people can see.
Cami’s version is quieter and, on paper, considerably less sensible: a recurring five-figure annual outgoing with no resale value and no content angle attached.
She’s also buying property and putting money aside, which is the bit most creator windfall stories leave out.
Pet spending has climbed hard across the board, and creators with volatile income have turned into a visible slice of that market, treating animals as the one household cost they refuse to trim.
Whether the £50,000 months hold is the open question.
The cats have made no contingency plans.
