Paige McKillip has spent a year being told she is someone else, and she still isn’t convinced.
The 30-year-old property manager from Indianapolis, Indiana, posts videos like anyone else. Then the comments started.
Zendaya. Every day, without pause, from people certain they had found the Euphoria star’s double.

The comment section made up its mind
Paige is not arguing with the compliment.
“Well, she’s stunning, so it’s truly such a compliment,” she told Creatorzine.

“They say I have similar features, but that my mannerisms are what solidified it for them.”
She says the comparison has brought her a following, approaches from brands and recognition from strangers.
What it hasn’t brought is agreement from her.
“I think it’s hilarious; I don’t really see it, but if that many people are saying it, I’m taking the compliment.”
The woman she’s being measured against is one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Zendaya played Rue in HBO’s Euphoria and MJ opposite Tom Holland across the Marvel Spider-Man films. She’s 30, too.
‘Omg, is that Zendaya?’
The comparison escaped the internet at some point and turned up in real life.
“I was at the mall and someone said, ‘omg is that Zendaya?'” Paige said.

“She was kidding, and it was someone who follows me; it was really sweet.”
Then she leaned in
Paige now runs a Zendaya-themed account under the name paigedaya.
She launched it with the video that caused all this, and it went viral a second time: more than 328,000 views and 16,000 comments.

Instagram’s own account turned up in the replies. “Nice try, Zendaya.”

The rest went further. “You don’t look like Zendaya. You look like MJ from the Spider-Man universe she plays lol,” wrote Junius Valentine.
Someone else settled on “definitely a Multiverse Zendaya variant”.
One convert was emphatic: “Wait, I NEVER see it when people get told they look like certain people, but with you I REALLY DO!!! You really do look like her!!!”

Others skipped past resemblance entirely and started building family trees.
“U look like Tom and Zendaya had a kid,” said Deva Sena.
Another suggested a fusion of the two, or possibly a sister.

Why It Matters
A face used to be a face. Now it’s a niche.
Paige didn’t build an audience around a skill or a subject, she built one around what strangers thought they recognised, and the brands followed the recognition rather than the person.

For creators, that’s the uncomfortable part of the maths: the algorithm rewards familiarity, and nothing is more familiar than someone the audience already knows.
Lookalike accounts and doppelganger contests have become a reliable growth route online, with creators turning a passing resemblance into a full identity because the traffic arrives ready-made.
Paige says she still doesn’t see it. She’s running the account anyway.
