Manchester City Council clamped a £200,000 Mercedes in the city centre this month, wrote a ticket, tucked it under the wiper and walked away.
The car, according to footage circulated by Jam Press, belongs to Omar Marmoush.
The vehicle, a 2025 Mercedes-Benz AMG G 63 MHEV, sat in a loading-only bay on South King Street at around 8.30pm on 14 August.

Video from the scene shows a clamp locked onto the front wheel and a penalty notice on the windscreen, as reported by Creatorzine.
South King Street is a narrow cut through the middle of Manchester, lined with restaurants and lit like a film set.
It is not a car park.
£40, then £105, then £12 a day
Manchester City Council’s standard removal fee starts at £40, according to the source report. If the owner fails to make contact within 24 hours, that can rise to £105.
After that the car goes to the pound, where storage runs at £12 a day until somebody turns up to claim it.
City paid £59m for Marmoush in January 2025.
The sums involved here would not register on his bank statement. That was never the point.
He has form
This is not the first time a camera has caught Marmoush parking where he should not.
The source report puts the count at three previous occasions in Manchester, each filmed by passers-by.
One earlier clip catches him leaving the car somewhere questionable and heading off for a haircut.
The 51st minute
Two days after the clamp, Marmoush was in Cardiff.
City lost the Community Shield 3-0 to Arsenal at the Principality Stadium on 16 August, Enzo Maresca’s first competitive match in charge after the end of the Guardiola era.
Riccardo Calafiori scored inside 24 seconds. Kai Havertz got the second.
Martin Ødegaard made it three, three minutes into the second half.
Marmoush came on in the 51st minute, roughly ninety seconds after the game stopped being a contest. He did not change it.
Gone by Thursday
Tottenham confirmed the signing on 27 August.
Marmoush joins on a season-long loan carrying a £60m obligation to buy, split into £50m guaranteed and £10m in add-ons, and takes the number 22 shirt.
Roberto De Zerbi pushed for him. Savio, another City forward, had gone the same way days earlier.
“It feels amazing to be here,” Marmoush told the club’s website.
“Tottenham Hotspur is one of the biggest clubs in England, if not the world, and the project was very attractive to me.”
He leaves the Etihad with 16 goals in 62 appearances.
Last season brought three goals and three assists in 21 Premier League outings, most of them spent standing behind Erling Haaland.
Why It Matters
None of this exists without a phone. A clamped car on a side street is nothing.
A clamped car worth £200,000 with a Premier League forward’s name attached to it is content, and whoever filmed it understood that in about a second and a half.

The agency picks it up, the tabloids run it, and fifteen seconds of vertical video travels further than anything the club’s comms team published that week.
Marmoush did not consent to being the subject of a story about a wheel clamp. He also did not have to.
Visibility is part of the wage now, and it does not switch off in a loading bay.
What happens next
He starts again in north London, under a manager who asked for him, in a squad that has spent past £300m this summer and still lost 3-0 at home to Brentford.
There is a shirt number, a completed medical and a mandatory £60m waiting next summer.
Neither Marmoush nor Manchester City commented on the clamp.
Nobody has said whether the release cost £40 or £105.
