An England fan sprinted through Cala d’Or with a pack of Argentina supporters at his heels, four days before the two countries meet in a World Cup semi final.
The tournament’s biggest grudge match started early.
Punches outside the Budha Social Club
Footage filmed on 11 July shows a group of Argentina fans chasing the lone supporter out of a bar in the Mallorca resort and into the road, as reported by CreatorZine.

Several men grabbed him and threw punches while he covered his head.
A woman ran in to help. Another, wearing a Messi shirt, confronted her, and the two grappled as the fight spilled up the strip.
More fans piled in on both sides.
Cala d’Or pulls thousands of British holidaymakers every summer.
On Saturday night it got a running street brawl instead.
A semi final already at boiling point
The timing explains the temperature. Hours before the clip was filmed, England beat Norway 2-1 to book their place in the last four.
Argentina followed with a 3-1 win over Switzerland.
The two sides meet at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on 15 July, and judging by Mallorca, nobody is waiting for kick-off.
‘Disappointed I didn’t see a plastic patio chair’
The footage did enormous numbers online, with viewers split between outrage and gallows humour.
One wrote: “Big group of cowards against one guy who probably doesn’t want any trouble. Would love to see these try any nonsense with a small group of good lads from the North East or Liverpool.”

Another kept it lighter: “Disappointed I didn’t see a plastic patio chair get flung.”
A third found the silver lining: “This is so nice. They met at a neutral location to exchange blows.”

Why It Matters
Fan-shot fight footage travels faster during a World Cup than almost anything else on the internet, and agencies like CreatorZine exist to license it before the person filming knows what they have.
One phone pointed at a bar in Mallorca, and the clip lands in every tabloid in Britain within 48 hours, earning for whoever locked down the rights first.
For creators covering the tournament, the money is not always on the pitch.

Viral fan moments have become a fixture of the 2026 tournament, with the co-hosted format scattering supporters, and their cameras, across North American host cities and half of Europe’s holiday resorts.
England and Argentina kick off in Atlanta on Wednesday.
If a Saturday night in Cala d’Or looked like this, the fan zones might want to count their patio chairs.
