Zeena Valvona has owned 18 rats. She has pictures of them tattooed on her body.
Her fans on Babestation, one of the UK’s biggest webcam platforms, buy her lingerie one week and rat cage extensions the next.
The 24-year-old from Portsmouth studied animal management at college before moving into adult content.
She considered veterinary nursing but says the responsibility scared her off.
She joined Babestation at 18, originally launching a fan page during the pandemic, and has stayed on the platform since.
But the rats came first.
‘Every springtime I get broody for more’

Valvona bought her first two rats while at college and hasn’t stopped since.
She currently has five. The total lifetime count is 18.
“I’ve had a steady stream of them ever since,” she told Creatorzine.
“It’s hard to break away because you must keep them in pairs and they don’t live long, so I’m always buying another.”
The short lifespan of pet rats means a constant cycle of loss and replacement that Valvona has accepted as part of the deal.
She marks each one permanently. Every rat she’s owned is tattooed on her body, part of a collection that now sits at 40 tattoos with more planned.
“Whenever it gets to springtime, I get broody for more rats,” she said.

“I’ve already started looking for more again.”
Her boyfriend shares the taste for unusual pets.
The household also includes a praying mantis. A millipede is under consideration.
The darker side pays the bills
On Babestation, Valvona leans into what she describes as a kinky, edgier image.
She offers fans a mix of submissive and dominant content and says foot fetish requests are among the most popular.
“Fans love my sub and dom work, but also my feet,” she said.

“They love when I wear boots. If they ever ask for something I’m not comfortable with, I’ll pass them to a girl who I know is.”
She says she’s always in control and will end a call if a request crosses a line. The work is unpredictable.
“I’ve seen all sorts,” she said.
“One minute I can have someone show me tricks they can do with their genitalia and the next I have a female just looking to chat about makeup.”
Fans fund the rat lifestyle

One of the perks of the job, beyond the income itself, is the gift list. Valvona maintains an Amazon wishlist and her fans use it regularly.
The purchases alternate between exactly what you’d expect from a cam model’s audience and something else entirely.
“Sometimes nice boots and heels, or they’ll buy me things for my rats,” she said.
“Someone once bought me an extension for my rat cage. Then the next week he’ll buy me lingerie.”
The rats, it turns out, are part of the brand. Valvona says her alternative image and her love of unusual animals are connected, and her audience responds to both.
“Being a rat mum embodies my darker, alternative lifestyle,” she said. “And fans love it.”
From emo phase to 15,000 followers

Valvona says she felt “ugly” during school before finding her look in year nine.
“I hit my emo phase and it just never really left,” she said.
“At first it was all black eyeliner and eye shadow, then in college I got better at it. I’ve always been a bit alternative but I’m not gothic.”
She now has 15,100 followers on Instagram at @zeena_valvona.
Despite the online following, she says nobody has ever recognised her in public, which she admits stings slightly.
“I’m a bit upset about that. I wish it had happened by now,” she said.
One person did message her to say they’d spotted her on a night out, though she was, by her own account, “blackout drunk” at the time.
Why it matters

The adult content industry and the creator economy overlap more than mainstream coverage tends to acknowledge. Cam models are creators.
They build audiences, manage brands, diversify income streams and engage with fans across multiple platforms.
Valvona’s rat content is a genuine point of differentiation in a saturated market, and the fact that her fans buy cage accessories alongside lingerie suggests the personal branding is working exactly as intended.
For creators in any niche, the principle holds. The thing that makes you odd is usually the thing that makes you memorable.
Valvona didn’t hide the rats.

She tattooed them on her body and put them on her wishlist. The audience followed.
She has no plans to stop either career. More tattoos are coming. More rats are coming.
The millipede remains under review.
