Jasmine Teaa spent three hours at a stretch chopping onions to keep up with her university bills.
These days, strangers pay her £750 for a single pair of worn underwear.
The 29-year-old studied computational linguistics and pictured herself at Google.

What she got instead was student loans, no financial help from her parents and two kitchen jobs that barely covered rent.
“I held down two jobs, one washing dishes and another as a prep chef, but they didn’t pay great,” she said.
“I was cutting onions for three hours straight at one point.”
Struggling to stay on top of her bills, she turned to sex work.
The underwear business found her almost by accident.
“I was posting on Reddit and got chatting about my underwear, and before I knew it, I’d found my thing.”
‘They want them used-used’
Her customers are specific. The underwear should be worn all day. Worn to the gym. Properly lived in.
“They don’t just want my panties, they want me to wear them first all day, go to the gym in them, they want them dirty,” she said.
“They want them used-used.”
Some push further. She says buyers have asked her to skip wiping for a full day before a pair goes in the post, requests that come with serious money attached.
One pair sold for more than $1,000 (£750).
“The dirtier, the better the money, and it’s easy. I don’t really have to do anything.
I just let them marinate all day then post them out.”
The product range has grown. She has sold Converse trainers, and socks do well too.
“They love physical items that have been on my body,” she said.
Repeat customers order a fresh pair of underwear every month, and colours matter.
Fanfiction, but with her body
Once the money became obvious, Jasmine, who posts on Instagram as @Jasmineflowerteaa, moved into custom adult videos, personalised clips that subscribers pay for.
She compares the work to an old hobby.
“I have a lot of fun with these, it’s like turning people’s fantasies into real life.
I used to write fanfics, so it sort of feels like I’m writing but with my body.”
For a while she ran everything at once, filming on top of the underwear orders while still turning up for kitchen shifts.
Then the numbers made the decision for her and she quit both jobs.
Her roommates never knew. To get the flat to herself, she invented visitors.
“No one knew how I made money, so I’d pretend I had a guy coming back so the place was clear, then I’d film my videos.”
From $2,000 a month to six figures
Jasmine says she started out earning around $2,000 (£1,500) a month, a figure that doubled once custom content arrived.
A decade on, she says she now clears more than $100,000 (around £75,000) a month and recently bought herself a $1 million house in California.
“I always thought I’d end up working a normal nine-to-five job.
Instead, I’ve been able to build a life for myself doing this.
I’ve done it all on my own, and that makes me feel really empowered.”
Why It Matters
Worn-item sales are one of the oldest trades in the creator economy, and one of the few that never depended on a platform’s goodwill.
There is no algorithm to please and no middleman taking a cut of the product itself, while repeat buyers behave like subscribers without the subscription fees leaking away in commission.
Jasmine’s route, from Reddit thread to physical products to custom content, is the diversification playbook adult creators wrote years before mainstream influencers discovered merch drops and personalised videos.
It arrives as creators across every niche push income off-platform, spooked by shrinking payout rates and sudden policy changes.
The adult side of the industry got there first, as usual.
Jasmine now has a decade of loyal customers, a paid-for house and no boss.
What she builds next is entirely her call.
