I don’t believe we’ve ever landed on the Moon – but I’d be NASA’s perfect Earth ambassador, just don’t make me GO

Influencer CeCe Rose says the Moon landings were staged like a movie set – but she’d happily front NASA’s next mission, as long as she never leaves Earth.

CeCe Rose has an offer for NASA.

She will happily represent Earth on the next Moon mission.

She just doesn’t believe any of the previous ones happened.

The Toronto-based creator, 26, who has more than two million Instagram followers (@cecerose), says she has doubted the Apollo missions for as long as she can remember.

She’d still like the ambassador job, though. With conditions.

A movie set, apparently

“I don’t believe we’ve ever actually landed on the moon,” she said.

“I don’t think it’s impossible to get there. I just don’t think a successful landing has happened yet.”

Six crewed Apollo missions landed on the Moon between 1969 and 1972, and later lunar orbiters have photographed the sites they left behind.

CeCe remains unmoved. If anything, her career has hardened the theory.

“Honestly, this is something I’ve always been sceptical about, like a lot of people are,” she said.

“But especially after being in the industry I’m in and seeing how advanced theatre production is, the evidence is outstanding that it’s extremely possible the first ever ‘moon landing’ was just a movie set.”

She reckons the doubters outnumber the believers, quietly.

“I think a lot of people trust the news blindly, so for anyone to question it seems abnormal,” she said.

“I’m sure more people disagree with what they see in the mainstream – they just don’t say it out loud.”

‘I’d still need convincing’

A fresh landing wouldn’t settle it either.

“If NASA announced another successful moon landing tomorrow, I’d still need convincing,” she said.

“I’m not sure exactly what proof I would need. But I’m not just going to see one statement about it and say, ‘Okay, it’s happened now’.”

She insists the scepticism comes with an open door. Show her the evidence in person and she’d take the trip to see it.

“I would absolutely accept,” she said.

“At the end of the day, I’m a genuinely curious person, so I’d love to see it all.”

Ambassador, terms and conditions apply

The role she’s pitching comes with a firm geographical clause.

“I think I’d be a great ambassador,” she said.

“But I’d do it from Earth. I’m sure there are ways to communicate without risking my life.

I know they probably have months of training, but I can only imagine what the pressure changes would do to my arthritis.”

Tagged in everything moon related

Her theory has followed her around the internet ever since she shared it.

“It’s been all over the place,” she said.

“Some people agree with me and some have made it their life mission to tag me in everything moon related.

Especially on TikTok. If there’s someone talking about the moon landing, I get tagged in the comments straight away.”

The correspondence reaches her other platforms too.

“People even message me on OnlyFans about it,” she laughed.

“I think the funniest one was someone yelling at me saying he couldn’t believe I’d said that because he’d been there last week.

I kept trying to work out if he meant he’d been to the moon last week, but he just kept repeating that he’d ‘gone last week’.”

She has no plans to stop asking.

“I’d rather look like a complete idiot asking 30 stupid questions than blindly accept someone else’s truth while I’m still confused or unsure,” she said.

This isn’t her first round of headlines. CeCe previously went viral as the “perfect girlfriend” after parents reportedly offered to fly her around the world to date their sons.

She thinks that one landed because dating is a mess.

“Parents probably read it thinking, ‘How can I get her for my son?'” she said.

“Men probably read it thinking, ‘What should my standards be?’ And other women probably wanted to see what was so different about me – whether from jealousy or to learn something.”

Why It Matters

CeCe has worked out something plenty of creators haven’t.

A confidently held fringe opinion is a renewable resource.

Every TikTok tag, every furious comment, every OnlyFans subscriber demanding she recant is free distribution, and she pays nothing for it.

From “perfect girlfriend” to Moon sceptic, she keeps finding angles that make strangers do her marketing.

The trade-off is real, though. Conspiracy-adjacent content sits uneasily with brand partnerships and platform moderation, and the line between playing a character and feeding misinformation gets thinner the bigger the audience grows.

NASA’s Artemis programme is working to put astronauts back on the lunar surface before the decade is out.

If it manages it, CeCe has already said a press release won’t be enough.

Someone at the agency may eventually have to decide whether calling her bluff is worth the seat.
