Twenty-three years into operation, Babestation has data on what makes a good fan.
Turns out, geography matters.
The UK webcam and live streaming platform has revealed that American users are among its most engaged – and its most generous – with men from Texas, New York and California collectively accounting for nearly 40% of its entire US audience.
The numbers behind the tipping
Texans, according to Babestation’s own data, tip 34% higher than the American average.
Florida and California follow close behind. But the platform’s performers say the appeal of US fans goes beyond the money.
“American guys are often some of the best to talk to because they actually chat,” says Zeena Valvona, 24, from Hampshire.

“They join in and make the whole show feel more lively.”
Fellow model Bonni Gee, 33, from North London, puts it simply: “You really notice the tipping culture with US users. If they’re enjoying the attention, they’re much more likely to show it.”
Regional personalities
The data draws some sharp regional distinctions.
New Yorkers are identified as fast-paced conversationalists who enjoy the back-and-forth.

Texans, meanwhile, arrive with compliments and tips.
“New York and Texas guys bring very different energy, but both are great in their own way,” says Bonni.
“New Yorkers love the banter. Texans tend to come in big.”
Virginia users, meanwhile, are 17% more likely to return for repeat visits – a metric the platform’s models say they pay attention to.
Macy Kate, who has 120,000 Instagram followers, says the pattern is recognisable:

“When an American user likes you, he’ll usually make it obvious. He’ll message, tip, favourite you and come back again.”
What keeps them in the room
Beyond tipping, Babestation’s analysis found that 21% of US users are more likely to favour a model following a strong first interaction, and that late-night American traffic responds best to direct, conversational engagement rather than short transactional exchanges.
Models say the performers who respond quickly and with personality see US fans stay in-room noticeably longer.

“A lot of American users are confident but still respectful, which makes them fun to perform for,” says model Violet Chelsea.
“They usually know how to keep the conversation moving.”
Zeena agrees: “The best thing about US fans is they make it feel interactive. It’s not just watching – it feels like they want a proper connection.”
Why it matters
Babestation’s data points to something the broader creator economy has been learning for years: audience engagement is worth more than passive viewership, and users who feel genuinely seen are the ones who stay, return and spend.

The tipping culture that defines American fan behaviour on platforms like this mirrors patterns seen across Twitch, OnlyFans and other creator platforms where direct interaction drives revenue.
For UK-based performers building international audiences, the US market – and its willingness to reward personal connection – represents a significant commercial opportunity.
Founded in 2002, Babestation pioneered the live interactive format long before most creator platforms existed.
Its longevity suggests it knows something about what keeps an audience coming back.
